Since 2016, PGIMER Chandigarh have been celebrating 16th September as the Foundation Day of the Department of Psychiatry. Additionally, since 2018 on this day the Institute has been holding Professor N.N. Wig Oration.
This year, the Institute will honour Prof. N.N. Wig by hosting the 3rd “Professor N.N. Wig Oration”. This Oration will be delivered by Prof. B. N. Gangadhar, Director, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, India. His Oration is titled “Integrating Yoga in Psychiatric practices”, to be delivered on the 16th of September 2020 at 4:00 PM.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, the oration will be held via virtual platform. The event will be hosted from YouTube Channel of Department of Telemedicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6Xx2mkGwAfBE0UqE_lqqcg). The specific link for the Oration will be available 24 hours before the scheduled program and will be notified to the subscribers automatically.
