Srinagar Document 2026 on Supporting Trainee Thesis

A national meeting of experts was held on 3 July 2026 at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, under the Chairmanship of Dr Vijaykumar Harbishettar, representing the IPS Trainee Thesis Support Task Force. The meeting was preceded by 2–3 weeks of collaborative work, including multiple online meetings and expert consultations, culminating in an intensive one-day in-person consensus workshop. Experts worked collaboratively in three thematic groups and unanimously adopted the following resolutions, which constitute the Srinagar Document 2026. The meeting brought together distinguished academicians, clinicians, and postgraduate training experts who worked collaboratively in three thematic working groups throughout the day. Following extensive deliberations and consensus-building, the participants unanimously adopted the following resolutions, collectively known as the Srinagar Document 2026 on Trainee Thesis Support.
