Summary: This guideline updates a previous version from 2008, to provide information on the systematic assessment and management of children with dissociative disorders. Important domains of the assessment to find factors associated with the onset of symptoms are described. The role of investigations to confirm the diagnosis, and important features that would rule out other conditions, as well as suggest a positive diagnosis of dissociative disorder.
