The Indian Psychiatric Society strongly condems the acts of physical assault and assault on dignity of the health care profession. Even as doctors and front-line health workers continue to provide 24-hour support to hospitals, several HCWs are discriminated in their housing complex or rented flats. The IPS appeals to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to bring out an Ordinance to provide adequate professional and personal protection to HCWs with immediate effect.
